$6.9 billion raw material ingredient industry shows no sign of slowing

ANAHEIM, Calif. (March 21, 2008)— SupplyExpo (www.supplyexpo.com), the leading trade show for ingredients, technology and innovation for the healthy, natural and organic products industry continues to break attendance records. Together, SupplyExpo and Natural Products Expo West, the country's largest natural and organic products trade show for finished goods, posted an 11% growth with more than 52,000 attendees March 13-16 in California's Anaheim Convention Center. SupplyExpo, produced by New Hope Natural Media, a division of Penton Media, featured leading ingredient companies targeting supplement, food, beverage and cosmeceutical applications.

The ingredient supply chain for healthy, natural and organic products is big business. According to Nutrition Business Journal®, the 2006 raw material ingredient supply chain generated $6.9 billion in sales, accounting for $85 billion in consumer finished product sales.
